ABOUT 1ST NORTH TURRAMURRA SCOUTS TROOP

1st North Turramurra Scouts has been providing fun and challenging opportunities for over 60 years. New members are very welcome at 1st North Turramurra Scouts, and we're known for being a friendly, inclusive troop.

 

Life is co-ed and so is Scouts, and we're proud 1st North Turramurra Scouts was one of the first Scouts groups to become co-ed. Activities include camping, bush craft, hiking (day & night!), canoeing, performing arts, building, cooking, community service and you might have heard 1st North Turramurra Scouts broadcasting on local radio.

 

Whether you're a Joey Scout, Cub Scout or Scout, grow through adventure with 1st North Turramurra Scouts!

 

BENEFITS OF SCOUTING

Scouting is an education for life, and 1st North Turramurra Scouts is especially welcoming and supportive. Members are given the tools to develop into strong, resilient adults and valuable members of the community, with opportunities to develop leadership skills

Scouting is an ideal activity for the whole family, and parents are encouraged to get involved, whether it's being active on the parents committee, helping at a camp or fundraiser or becoming a leader. What you choose to do, and how often, is up to you. You'll love meeting other like-minded families in and around North Turramurra, and you'll have lots of fun with your kids.

Scouting with 1st North Turramurra Scouts gives children and their families a strong sense of belonging to our wonderful community.

LEARN LIFE SKILLS

In all sections of 1st North Turramurra Scouts, kids learn to think independently, problem solve and to take risks in a responsible way.

 

Scouts is also wonderful for helping build social skills in a co-ed environment, as well as strengthening leadership skills. 

Girls and boys are equally involved.
